Establishing a powerful voice on remote working

Silicon Reef

**Silicon Reef: Amplifying the Message on Remote Work** **The Challenge** Silicon Reef is assisting organizations in adopting remote work solutions through Microsoft 365 technologies. To engage its primary audience of tech, HR, and business leaders, the company has crafted messaging highlighting its role in promoting a "work happy" environment. However, it sought assistance in expanding this message to a broader audience via media relations, aiming to establish itself as a thought leader beyond just a technology provider. **Key Insight** The notion of encouraging people to "work happy" suggests that many are currently dissatisfied. We leveraged this tension to develop engaging narratives that demonstrate how Silicon Reef can address the challenges faced by its clients and prospects. **Effective Solution** An ongoing campaign focusing on proactive media relations and content creation was implemented, addressing the issues that leaders aim to resolve. From entrenched cultures that resist change to challenges faced by remote workers and discussions on the Metaverse, we've positioned Silicon Reef as the organization dedicated to helping businesses innovate and thrive. **Outcomes** In just three months, there were 19 pieces of coverage, with articles featured in prominent publications such as HR Magazine and Personnel Today. Alex Graves, CEO of Silicon Reef, remarked, "Five not 10 hit the ground running and recognized the urgency to make a quick impact. As a specialist in a rapidly growing sector, we’ve managed to achieve remarkable results with them on our team. The content produced is top-notch, clear, and engaging. Consequently, the coverage has been abundant. Their straightforward and effective strategy allows us to trust them completely."

Helping a cold-chain expert tell a simple story

Envirotainer

Envirotainer's Challenge ensures that life-saving, temperature-sensitive medications are accessible worldwide. This is achieved by producing, leasing, and maintaining temperature-controlled containers for air transport. The company must persuade pharmaceutical companies to select their products, convince airlines to transport them, and engage logistics firms to manage the process. The focal point of the narrative is not the container itself but the valuable contents and the transportation challenges they face. This includes vaccines to combat COVID-19, insulin for diabetes management, and various obstacles they encounter. To address these issues, we implement two interconnected strategies. First, we launch a thought leadership content campaign aimed at generating leads by spotlighting significant cold-chain challenges and their solutions. Second, we engage in media relations to promote this content and share compelling stories from within the containers, such as the delivery of the billionth COVID vaccine and initiatives addressing the unprecedented reduction in air freight capacity. Our results include the development of eight whitepapers and thought leadership articles to support lead generation, alongside an impressive 130 media placements in just six months across global pharmaceutical, logistics, and airline outlets. “Our narrative is powerful; our efforts are essential and save lives. We must leverage this to boost brand awareness and inform the market. Five not 10 has aided us in identifying simple yet impactful stories,” says Niklas Adamsson, COO of Envirotainer.

Promoting IT peripherals

Epson Europe

Epson Promoting IT Peripherals The Challenge Epson is a pioneering technology creator and manufacturer dedicated to enhancing lives, communities, and businesses through sustainable practices and a focus on efficient, compact, and precise technologies. They are widely recognized for their production of IT peripherals, including multi-function printers, scanners, projectors, and other devices commonly found in workplaces, homes, and public services. Our challenge lies in demonstrating how the brand can address some of the most persistent business issues faced by leaders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), such as sustainability and low productivity. Simple Insight IT peripherals have evolved beyond being mere add-ons. While the performance of a single printer might seem negligible, the impact becomes significant when multiplied by millions. Simple Solution We launched a campaign aimed at identifying the challenges leaders face from Belfast to Bucharest and from Malmö to Mombasa, covering 33 countries across three continents in various private and public sectors. We produced the "IT Peripherals Are No Longer Peripheral" report, along with media materials showing how inkjet printers can greatly reduce energy costs and why scanners are essential for digital transformation. Additionally, we continuously provide PR content, social media materials, and campaign resources to support Epson’s ongoing innovations, all framed by a consistent corporate message for the region. Results Our efforts have enabled local PR teams to achieve 429 pieces of coverage for the initial two major campaigns, with effective message delivery reaching up to 77 percent. Additionally, our work has assisted social media teams in engaging critical audiences, achieving engagement rates of up to 6.8 percent, compared to the industry average of around 2 percent. “Five not 10 understands what makes our audiences tick and how to tell a compelling, simple story that gets cut through,” stated Ayleen Dunbar, PR & Social Media Manager, Epson Europe.
