GPS tracking has emerged as a popular solution to address this issue. Our upcoming case study will explore this subject. **Objective: Enhance resource management and work efficiency** Our client, a Telecom Services Company based in Bahrain, employs over 350 individuals, with 340 in field roles. They operate 170 vehicles for their projects, which involve servicing telecommunication networks and installing optical fiber in residences, offices, and commercial spaces. Therefore, the primary focus for the client was to manage field services effectively. To tackle this challenge, we broke the project down into several phases: 1. **GPS Vehicle Monitoring**: We selected Teltonika FMB001 GPS trackers as the tracking devices. The tracking system was developed using .Net and JS along with Angular for the frontend interface. The development process and problem-solving: Besides creating RFID tags, it's essential to integrate them with all the systems used in the organization. We employed several technologies for this, including Swift, RFID, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Web API, MS SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure. Our ecosystem solutions comprise an iOS app, Nedap's RFID Handheld Reader !D, a web portal, a REST API, and integration with the CMS Magento. As for product data storage, we utilized Microsoft Azure to build a web portal where all product information is stored in the database, along with the generated RFID tags. This setup enables access to the web portal from any device worldwide, including in-store. To scan RFID tags both in inventory and retail settings, we acquired Nedap's RFID Handheld Readers !D and connected them to iOS smartphones. We developed an app for these smartphones that processes the tags and syncs data with the web portal. The smartphone platform simplifies app updates and allows for the addition of extra features not available in standard RFID readers. For stock level management in stores, we implemented a function in the web portal to handle all calculations, enabling store staff to effortlessly monitor physical stock levels within minutes. The application automatically determines which products need to be reordered and places orders on behalf of the store. Regional managers have access to a straightforward tool to oversee stock replenishment rules. Our client, Acumatica’s integrator, has implemented an ERP system for their offline retail client. However, as the world evolves rapidly, the store owners decided to transition online. This sparked a new idea: leveraging a marketplace to facilitate their online presence, as developing a full-fledged online store could take several months. We realized the need to integrate Acumatica with Walmart to expedite this process. For the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) version, we focused on several key tasks: - Creating products for Walmart - Providing current availability status - Receiving and logging order details in Acumatica - Transferring delivery information - Processing orders The MVP plugin was developed in just two weeks, as it was a straightforward project.
