NLZIET

NLZIET is an inclusive Dutch streaming service that stands out as the premier platform for Dutch television, providing both live and on-demand content from all major broadcasters in a single location. It caters to viewers seeking greater control over their viewing choices, TV subscription costs, and how they consume content, operating via the internet rather than traditional cable systems. As an independent joint venture of the largest networks in the country, NLZIET plays a vital role in shaping the future of television in the Netherlands. Despite its rapid growth in a complicated market, NLZIET faced challenges with its branding and user experience by the time Familiar was engaged. The platform's visual identity was disjointed, product design lacked clarity, and overall design quality varied across different touchpoints. Familiar took charge of enhancing the creative direction for both the product and marketing. Within the NLZIET product team, we led a comprehensive visual and UX redesign, launching a significant new version that offered a more intuitive, cohesive, and high-quality experience. Subsequently, the marketing team enlisted us to revamp their sales website and refine their voice, which bolstered brand consistency and campaign messaging, creating a unified narrative across product and promotion. Though our involvement with NLZIET has diminished over time, we continue to provide behind-the-scenes support by assisting their marketing team with visuals for campaigns, social media content, and sales materials. We remain available to refine designs or offer creative direction guidance as necessary, ensuring brand consistency as the team evolves.

ProjectSAM

ProjectSAM offers orchestral libraries of unparalleled quality, crafting virtual instruments for composers aiming for a cinematic sound. Based in the Netherlands, they are recognized globally for their lush, cinematic collections that have been featured in everything from Hollywood films to AAA games. Their audio captures are vivid and emotive, stemming from actual orchestral recordings that sound anything but synthetic. Their tools are utilized by leading composers as well as aspiring artists. ProjectSAM is dedicated to equipping creators with resources to convey impactful narratives through sound. The Challenge What began as a modest request to revamp their platform’s design evolved into a much larger project. We set out to redesign essential pages, enhance product layouts, and develop a range of adaptable social media templates. Additionally, we refined their messaging and contributed to their overarching strategy. Together, we have been shaping ProjectSAM’s online presence, consistently striving for clarity, coherence, and excellence. Today, our involvement extends to development, ensuring that the execution aligns with the intended vision in every detail. The Ongoing Effort Our collaboration is still robust, encompassing regular updates, new product launches, video creation, and various campaigns. Our partnership has matured, allowing us to assist ProjectSAM in defining their online identity and storytelling approach. We are committed to maintaining direction and posing the right inquiries. When necessary, we respectfully challenge choices, always keeping the broader vision in focus. From design and development to copywriting, we remain deeply engaged to uphold high standards. This is a continuous journey based on trust, collaboration, and a mutual ambition to progress.

MyParcel

An almost surreal service, MyParcel simplifies shipping for online retailers through a smart platform that manages everything from labels to delivery. Located in Hoofddorp, they assist thousands of businesses in ensuring their orders reach customers efficiently and effortlessly. Whether using PostNL, DHL, or DPD, MyParcel streamlines the entire process into one simple workflow. Although affiliated with PostNL, they function independently and are rapidly expanding. As a tech company with a clear objective, a practical approach, and a significant presence in the e-commerce sector, MyParcel sought our help to reach a new audience: online sellers who are unfamiliar with MyParcel and unaware that such platforms exist to ease shipping. The task? To design an awareness campaign that resonates with this audience in a straightforward, friendly manner while clearly conveying the benefits of MyParcel without overwhelming them with technical jargon. Our solution was a simple yet impactful idea: "compleet verzonden." This phrase encompasses everything being taken care of and shipped neatly. However, there's a clever twist—it sounds very similar to "compleet verzonnen," meaning completely made up. This was the essence we aimed to capture: a service so flawless and comprehensive that it feels almost unbelievable. A playful nod that showcases the wonder of MyParcel without sacrificing clarity. Additionally, the visuals needed to match this concept. With a tight deadline and no opportunity for a full production shoot, we embraced the idea and created everything using AI. Each image in the campaign was designed from the ground up: surreal, refined, and with a touch of humor. This approach aligned perfectly—a fabricated world for a service that feels nearly too good to be true.
