ABOUT ESSENTIENT ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENTStrategic. Innovative. We grow associations.
Essentient Association Management (Essentient A.M.C. Inc.) was founded in January 2005 by experienced association executive Constance Wrigley-Thomas. Her aim was to support volunteer-led organizations without staff in achieving their goals through strategic leadership and operational expertise. For almost 18 years, Essentient has offered a variety of services, such as event planning and marketing/communications assistance, to not-for-profit industry associations at national, provincial, and local levels. The mission of Essentient is to collaborate with growth-oriented associations so that they can foster impactful communities and reach their full potential. Unlike some competitors, Essentient primarily focuses on association management, which means that our core business is dedicated entirely to this area. This singular focus allows us to fully dedicate our resources to our clients without being distracted by other income sources. Essentient employs a team approach with all our clients; although one staff member may act as the primary contact, all team members contribute to client success and have designated backups to ensure smooth operations. While many AMCs frequently face staffing turnover, Essentient is proud to maintain a stable team, which provides consistency for our clients. Additionally, our staff is encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development through participation in seminars, workshops, and conferences organized by the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE), Meeting Professionals International (MPI), and the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI). As a co-founder of the Canadian Chapter of the AMC Institute, Essentient is a recognized leader in the AMC industry.
