Bleacher Report Uses Elixir to Handle Spikes In Traffic

Unknown

THE WORLD'S SECOND LARGEST SPORTS WEBSITE UTILIZES ELIXIR TO MANAGE EIGHT TIMES MORE TRAFFIC During peak periods, Bleacher Report generates over 1.5 billion page views each month and handles more than 200,000 simultaneous requests for its mobile app alone. We aided Bleacher Report in transitioning from Ruby to Elixir for several of their essential applications, enabling them to achieve remarkable outcomes. The Bleacher Report development team no longer worries about releases, even during major events like the NFL Draft. Adjustments can be implemented with just a few lines of code, allowing the team to focus their expertise without having to work across multiple technologies or rely on external clients or integrations.

ERLANG-BASED SYSTEM TO DELIVER SMOOTH SERVICE TO 11 MILLION PLAYERS

Unknown

ERLANG-BASED SYSTEM ENSURES SEAMLESS SERVICE FOR 11 MILLION USERS Founded in 2001 as a family venture, bet365 has grown to employ over 2000 individuals and has become one of the largest online sports betting platforms globally. The company provides live online experiences in 17 languages to more than 11 million users around the world. With rapid growth and a significant surge in the number of customers, bet365 soon experienced times when as many as 2 million users were online simultaneously, resulting in thousands of updates every second. This high volume of web traffic and transactions put immense strain on their supporting systems. In response, bet365 partnered with Erlang Solutions to create a dedicated engineering team that developed a successful proof of concept in just two months, demonstrating that Erlang was a far superior option compared to the original Java-based system. Following this, we provided our expertise and guidance to help develop, scale, and customize bet365’s InPlay platform, along with training and ongoing service support. After the initial launch of the InPlay system, we continued to assist bet365 in transitioning more of their infrastructure from Java to Erlang.

Instant Messaging For Financial Services

Unknown

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION OF OUR INSTANT MESSAGING TECHNOLOGY INTO A MAJOR BANK'S MOBILE SOLUTION APP One of the largest financial services groups in the UK aimed to update its operational practices and selected our client TeleWare's premier solution, Re:Call, as their telephony system. The TeleWare team's decision to choose MongooseIM was significantly influenced by our extensive expertise in Erlang and our telecommunications background. Despite lacking in-house XMPP knowledge, they found MongooseIM easy to learn and implement even under tight deadlines. Additionally, their unfamiliarity with Erlang did not hinder their progress, as Erlang Solutions was available to offer help-desk support as needed. Key Advantages: Complete control over source code and hosting independence, Competitive edge in integration speed and deployment to satisfy end-user needs, Group chat functionality for secure and effective collaboration among users. The Re:Call app has successfully handled increased usage during the pandemic lockdown. TeleWare's clients have provided positive feedback based on their experience with the enhanced app and instant messaging feature. MongooseIM is a comprehensive, real-time mobile messaging platform utilizing XMPP and featuring a straightforward REST API, making it ideal for client-side developers and backend integration. Our high-capacity messaging platform enables real-time communication for millions of users in rapidly growing fields such as FinTech and Telecommunications.
