OUR STORY
Founded in 1984 by Wyeth Tracy, Empex Watertoys® emerged from a vision to innovate aquatic play. Tasked with renovating Ontario Place's aquatic features, Wyeth discovered a lack of suitable interactive water play equipment. Leveraging his two decades of experience in maintenance, construction, and industrial design, he developed pioneering water toys such as water bikes, totters, and shooters, redefining children's aquatic fun. Empex distinguished itself through commitment to quality, using nonferrous materials to ensure durability and safety in chlorinated water, offering lifetime corrosion warranties. Their unique use of larger pipes and composite plastics allows for vibrant, safe, and cost-effective designs. Today, with a 20,000 sq. ft facility, Empex delivers creative, reliable, and maintenance-friendly water play products enjoyed in over 50 countries, setting industry standards for excellence.
