OBJECTIVE: To compare true dual-core concurrency across different microcontroller platforms (ESP32-S3 and Portenta H7) while subjecting them to the same heavy computational tasks. The goal was to assess the efficiency of parallel execution, gauge core usage, and evaluate real-world multicore performance for sophisticated embedded applications. ACTION: We developed two high-demand computational tasks (Prime search and Pi calculation) and ran them on FreeRTOS with strict core assignment to ensure predictable concurrency. A cross-platform benchmarking framework was created that included optimized RTOS scheduling, deterministic task allocation, and a custom visualization component. RESULT: The system achieved 100% dual-core utilization, confirmed true parallel execution, and highlighted notable performance differences between the microcontrollers. This benchmarking solution offers a dependable way to assess multicore performance in robotics, edge AI, industrial control, and computation-intensive embedded systems that require predictable concurrency.

The aim was to develop a durable and interactive IoT connector that supports both BLE Client and BLE Server roles. ACTION: Created C++ firmware for the ESP32 that implements these features. RESULT: Delivered a fully operational, real-time dual-role BLE connector with seamless user interface interaction and dependable characteristic exchanges.
