Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)

Objective: MFIP aimed to establish a more straightforward and efficient way to maintain communication with counselors and county employees, thereby reducing communication challenges and enhancing activity tracking. DKS introduced the MFIP Connect app for both iOS and Android, as well as a web platform for program administrators. These applications and portal were created to simplify the documentation process, effectively manage tasks, and close communication gaps while monitoring essential participant data for the program. Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts

Bluefin Bay

Objective: Bluefin Bay aimed to revamp the online presence of their resort chain while simplifying the maintenance of their property websites. DKS recommended consolidating the four individual sites into a single website. This unified platform would more effectively represent the group’s brand and offerings while facilitating cross-promotion, seamless content sharing and management, improved search engine optimization, and an enhanced user experience. With a stronger brand identity and a more user-friendly navigation, it became easier than ever for guests to research, find, and book the ideal unit at the right resort. Internally, the hours staff needed to spend on updating websites and handling booking-related tasks were significantly reduced. Furthermore, the new site supports easier content sharing between properties, enhances search engine optimization, and allows for better oversight of the guest experience from the homepage through to their departure. Northwoods League

Objective: Merge existing technologies, enhance user experience, and improve flexibility through additional features. However, the primary aim for the League was to enhance return on investment (ROI). The strategy involved a comprehensive integration of online and offline ticket sales for game days across all 20+ stadiums in the League. Within this framework, DKS developed seat selection models for each stadium, allowing buyers to quickly and easily choose their desired seats with accurate, real-time availability. Newly designed barcodes compatible with hand scanners streamlined the entry process for fans, while custom integration with Google Cloud Print allowed for on-demand printing of tickets, speeding up the ticketing process and cutting costs. All of this technology is built on a well-structured custom .NET e-commerce platform, giving Northwoods the flexibility for future upgrades.
