Gamifying first aid eduction

iDEA

St. John Ambulance sought to broaden its in-person first aid training reach, focusing especially on young individuals aged 12 to 18 who may not connect with conventional training methods. The challenge was to integrate educational material with engaging, game-like features to create a learning experience that was both enjoyable and effective. In partnership with iDEA, micro-learning was identified as the perfect method. This approach enabled us to divide crucial first aid skills into small, interactive modules that young learners could easily access and finish. Here’s what we accomplished.

Radically modernising and digitising operations

Great Western Credit Union

In our initial discussions, we aimed to grasp the reasons behind GWCU's existence and their vision for the future. By developing a business case for digital maturity, we explored how to architect digital solutions that would deliver maximum benefits to members and fulfill their goals. It became evident from the start that the current systems and infrastructure were inadequate for achieving future ambitions. GWCU’s members deserved better, and the community bank needed to establish a forward-thinking framework that would enable lending to more people without increasing costs. Prioritizing user experience necessitated a long-term transformation journey. This comprehensive change involved GWCU’s back-end processes, customer-facing digital interface, and the supporting systems and infrastructure. Ultimately, this led to a purpose-driven, user-centered, and fully responsive service that addressed the needs of today’s digital consumers while enhancing internal efficiencies. This enabled the team to offer services to a significantly broader customer base. The right technology, intentionally designed and developed, has equipped Great Western Credit Union with the necessary technology ecosystem to create a meaningful social impact by providing equitable banking opportunities and supporting the financial well-being of communities throughout the South West.
