Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon has launched NickWatch, a smartwatch designed for children that offers engaging interactions with beloved characters. Kids can immerse themselves in fun and educational content featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spongebob, and Lincoln Loud. To ensure safety, Data Packs and a Caregiver App are provided. Default Value developed the online store as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for NickWatch. The project was executed in three phases: planning, development, and testing of the website. For the back-end, our team recommended Magento, an all-encompassing e-commerce platform that meets all business needs. To create a smooth user experience, we utilized the Venia PWA front-end theme, which incorporates modern web technologies and design patterns for enhanced speed, security, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. The website is designed to be inclusive with various accessibility profiles: Seizure Safe Profile (clears flashes and adjusts colors), Vision Impaired Profile (improves visual elements), ADHD Friendly Profile (reduces distractions), Cognitive Disability Profile (aids reading and focus), Keyboard Navigation (for motor disabilities), and Blind Users (optimized for screen readers). As a result, the PWA was selected for nickwatch.com due to its offline functionality. Nickelodeon expressed satisfaction with our work, praising the website's entertaining features for children, such as animated characters. We delivered a quick, visually attractive product that operates in the UK and Israel, with plans for future expansion. Kosher4U & Ari's Kosher Wine

The client approached us with a request to modernize and redesign the Kosher4U website. Meanwhile, Ari's Kosher Wine needed significant improvements as well, having been initially developed by a third-party source but never launched. The client wanted a completely new site built from scratch. Challenge: For Kosher4U, the primary challenge stemmed from the store's unique requirements. The client needed to ensure that the store would be closed on the Sabbath, preventing customers from placing orders before sunset on Saturday, which necessitated the installation of a specialized timer. Additionally, the client operated a sub-store focused exclusively on products for Pesach, an important Jewish holiday, allowing customers to switch from the main Kosher4U store to the Pesach store and place orders up to a month before the holiday week—something that wasn't possible at other times, which also required a timer. When switching from the Kosher4U store to the Pesach store, kosher items in the cart stayed, but non-kosher items were removed, and this functionality worked in one direction only. If customers added items in the Pesach store before switching to the main site, those items remained in the cart. We needed to carefully design this feature to alert customers about the contents of their cart, ensuring that they wouldn't accidentally purchase non-kosher products that are prohibited during Pesach. As for Ari's Kosher Wine, it faced the challenge of being built on OpenCart, which posed additional issues, particularly concerning the packaging of wine. The store sells wine in standardized boxes that vary depending on the number of bottles per liter. Solution for Kosher4U: Refinement of the redesign and ongoing support.
