Maestros Parrilleros

Packaging and Brand Design In creating a visual brand strategy for a new line of grilling sausages aimed at the Mexican market, our challenge was to engage passionate grillers while transforming a brand typically associated with Mexican mothers.

Lala Licuados

Introducing a new line of yogurt-based smoothies featuring oatmeal, designed for the North American market. The segment of drinkable yogurt has slowly gained popularity within the US dairy industry, presenting an opportunity to expand the product range with a nutritious and convenient breakfast option. The new branding needed to appeal to both American and Hispanic audiences, so a streamlined design was created to convey duality through a diagonal element on the front of the label. This idea is further emphasized by a circular splash in the center of the label, which disrupts the static background and symbolizes the blend of yogurt, oatmeal, and the key ingredient that takes center stage in the communication.

LICUADO LALA

Unknown

Lala U.S. is a major contender in the Drinkable Yogurt Smoothies market, which has posed a significant challenge in the American landscape due to yogurt's traditional image as a thick, spoonable dairy product. In contrast, the concept of drinkable yogurt is well-established in Mexico and among Hispanic consumers. For over ten years, Lala has focused on developing this category in the U.S., targeting Mexican and Hispanic demographics who are already familiar with drinkable yogurt. They have maintained a leading position in this market, despite the emergence of smaller Hispanic brands that haven't posed a serious threat to Lala. However, larger yogurt companies have taken notice of this expanding niche and recognized the opportunity to enhance their brands with drinkable yogurt smoothie offerings. Leveraging its extensive experience as a leading dairy producer in Mexico, Lala identified the chance to expand its traditional drinkable yogurt range into new segments appealing to a broader consumer base. Understanding that this product fits well into the on-the-go category—allowing consumption straight from the bottle—they looked to traditional Mexican practices and saw a significant opportunity to launch a typical Smoothie Licuado. Lala Licuado serves as a nutritious and convenient breakfast option, made with a base of yogurt and oatmeal, featuring various fruit and natural ingredient blends such as mango-carrot, papaya, and vanilla-honey. Their new branding strategy combines American mass market aesthetics with vibrant and colorful elements familiar to Hispanic consumers.
