From blank slate to marketplace
Seventi is an event marketplace powered by AI, designed to ease the complexities of event planning, from venue selection to vendor booking. The aim is to reduce the need for spreadsheets, phone calls, and numerous “just following up…” emails. The Issue: Organizing corporate or private events can be chaotic, with vendors difficult to locate, unclear pricing, and a booking process that feels overly complicated. On the vendor end, discovering new opportunities is inconsistent, and the quality of leads can vary significantly. Seventi sought to address these challenges by providing: AI-enhanced matching for event planners and vendors, a cohesive marketplace interface for browsing, filtering, and booking, and tools to manage quotes, communication, and payments. My Role: In short, I handled all aspects of design from inception to execution. More specifically, I led the complete product design for the MVP, converted a rough PRD into clear flows, features, and screens, collaborated with the founders to define the target audience, priorities, and workflows, developed the initial design system, and delivered a comprehensive Figma prototype ready for engineering. Research & Alignment: Our target users include corporate planners coordinating multiple vendors, individuals planning weddings, birthdays, and retreats, and vendors seeking qualified leads without extensive marketing efforts. Key focus areas included establishing essential features for a successful launch: AI-supported event brief creation, venue and vendor search and discovery, vendor profiles with transparent pricing, booking workflows and messaging, and simple tools for vendors to manage inquiries. Once we reached consensus, I created a feature roadmap to ensure we remained focused and realistic about the priorities for the MVP phase.
