Destination Marketing Campaign

Amtrak

In response to the effects of the pandemic, D2 implemented a multi-phase marketing approach, initially focusing on safety messages to raise rider awareness and later shifting to a destination marketing campaign that integrated train travel into the overall travel experience. A newly developed website featuring a robust content strategy highlighted travel opportunities within Oregon and the ease of traveling by train. As a result, ridership increased by 63% over the past year.

Big Campaign to drive big results for the port

Northwest Seaport Alliance

The NWSA, encompassing the Port of Seattle and Port of Tacoma, encountered several obstacles such as supply chain disruptions, consolidation among shipping lines, rivalry from other ports, and inconsistencies in their branding and messaging. To address these issues, the initial action taken was a brand audit that involved assessing brand guidelines, marketing materials, digital and print assets, and the application of the brand both internally and externally. Subsequently, we refined the brand and messaging and created a marketing strategy with NWSA to reposition their services in global markets. D2 collaborated with NWSA to pinpoint their primary audience personas and the most effective marketing channels to engage these audiences. The “BIG” campaign showcases the capacity and range of services offered by NWSA. We established a new brand direction that was translated into creative assets such as guides, print and digital advertisements, a landing page, and signage. Follow-up campaigns were crafted to highlight their capacity, transload capabilities, service distinctions, warehousing, and additional services. The outcomes so far have been very encouraging, with an increase in new clients and services, and NWSA has embraced a new brand identity and consistent branding throughout the organization.

Tourism Campaign to drive economic development

City of Kirkland

A municipality sought to collaborate with hotels to boost tourism, stimulate local economic recovery and growth, and establish itself as a key destination for both tourism and business. D2 took the lead by developing innovative creative strategies, messaging, digital marketing campaigns, analytics, and a dedicated landing page.
