Poly9: Where E-commerce Meets Immersive 3D

I worked with a client based in the USA to create an impressive platform for their Poly9 e-commerce website. Poly9 aimed to upgrade its e-commerce platform by integrating 3D animations into product listings in order to provide customers with a more engaging and interactive shopping experience. This enhancement involved utilizing technologies like NodeJS and MeteorJS. We also incorporated Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) features; AR allows users to see how products fit into their real environment through their device's camera—imagine visualizing a new piece of furniture in your living space. Conversely, VR enables users to navigate a virtual store as if they were physically present. One of the main challenges was ensuring seamless functionality. The 3D animations had to be lifelike, and all these advanced features needed to operate flawlessly across various devices and web browsers. To address this, we leveraged the real-time capabilities of NodeJS and MeteorJS to ensure smooth operation. WebGL was employed to create and display the 3D models. We also ensured compatibility across different devices—whether you’re using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and whether you prefer browsers like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, everything operates just as intended.

In the past, we encountered a challenge in developing a system that enabled businesses to monitor their orders in real time and select the appropriate driver for each task. This required the implementation of technologies such as NodeJS, MongoDB, and Socket for real-time updates, as well as a document server for storing essential data, React for the web interface, Redux for data management, and geolocation for tracking the location of both orders and drivers. The issue at hand was that businesses needed to closely monitor their orders during transit while also assigning drivers who were both available and close by to ensure swift and efficient deliveries. To address this, we utilized NodeJS and MongoDB to create a robust and secure system capable of processing this information rapidly. The incorporation of Socket technology allowed us to deliver real-time updates, enabling businesses to track their orders in motion. React and Redux were instrumental in developing a user-friendly interface for businesses to engage with the system. The geolocation feature enabled tracking of order and driver locations, allowing businesses to easily identify the nearest drivers to a pick-up point and assign them accordingly. This streamlined the entire process, resulting in shorter delivery times and enhanced customer satisfaction.
