Modular Aeration Control System (WebMACS)

Unknown

Challenge WebMACS is a system for controlling and monitoring compost aeration that combines industrial process control components with tailored software. Although it was already a successful product, Green Mountain Technologies sought help to enhance the user interface, incorporate new features, and simplify customization for various composting facilities. Solution Cypress Mill Co created an entirely new version of the control software and user interface, informed by user feedback from earlier versions. Utilizing the React JavaScript framework's strengths, the updated interface featured a responsive design for easy access on both desktop and mobile devices. Automated test coverage was implemented for the Lua control code and the React application, enabling developers to introduce new features and modifications without risking existing functionalities. Lastly, by establishing clear separations between configuration needs and application features, the new software effectively provided customized solutions for each compost facility, ensuring consistent performance with minimal effort required for future projects.

nSide Staff Augmentation

Unknown

CHALLENGE nSide conceived a novel mobile app idea but opted against expanding their software development team. Instead, they chose to outsource the project to a capable and adaptable team that could assist as needed. SOLUTION The key aspect of this solution is flexibility. nSide aimed to advance new products while their existing software development staff remained occupied with other projects. They selected Cypress Mill due to its ability to provide the necessary long-term support on an as-needed basis. The Cypress Mill team collaborated closely with nSide to understand their objectives and develop the new concept. Throughout the project's duration, our expertise enabled us to offer best practice suggestions and identify any gaps. For each project phase, Cypress worked with nSide to evaluate potential solutions and determine the best course of action.
