Crypton Mobile

When David Phillips, the President of Crypton Mobile, sought assistance with managing vendor requests and enhancing cybersecurity, he turned to Corsica. Crypton Mobile is a custom software development firm that offers esignature, text messaging, email, and AI solutions, primarily focused on the consumer finance, banking, real estate, and automotive sectors. "We serve clients nationwide, and the information we handle is increasingly sensitive," said David Phillips. With these clients also come vendor forms requiring intricate answers regarding security capabilities and compliance with regulations. "The vendor requests we receive annually from our clients, as well as potential clients, include questions that our IT team can't address. Only a specialized IT firm can provide those answers, which is why we engaged Corsica," he added. As their business and security needs grew, David and the Crypton Mobile team realized they needed IT experts to help manage vendor requests. He also recognized the necessity of identifying and addressing any vulnerabilities in their existing IT systems to enhance their security. By collaborating with Corsica, David and his team have improved their cybersecurity measures and optimized vendor request management. With these enhanced capabilities, Crypton Mobile is now positioned to pursue larger clients with more complex needs and greater revenue potential. HIPAA Compliance and Cloud Migration

The Center for Developmental Services

Located in Greenville, South Carolina, the Center for Developmental Services (CDS) is a network providing care for children and adults with special needs. Although their growth aligns with their mission, it has created challenges in managing technology. “Integrating the networks, phone systems, security systems, medical records, and maintaining HIPAA compliance across six different entities was quite complicated,” says Dana McConnell, Executive Director. Due to the complexities of adhering to HIPAA regulations and the effort needed for annual reviews, many healthcare organizations like CDS are increasingly partnering with managed IT services providers (MSPs) to ensure compliance and safeguard protected health information (PHI). “Maintaining HIPAA compliance is essential for us. It reassures me that we have adequate security measures and those necessary protections in place,” McConnell adds. In addition to security and HIPAA issues, CDS also had to transition their operations from on-premise servers to the cloud. Cloud services are managed by a third party, which eliminates the need for local installation, management, hosting, or support of these systems. Corsica Technologies offers cloud systems management, allowing businesses to focus on other operations while helping with server virtualization, Microsoft 365, and Windows server products. Moving IT infrastructure to the cloud can offer multiple advantages for healthcare organizations, such as cost savings and enhanced scalability. The CDS team collaborated with Corsica to create a migration strategy that encompassed data backups, security, and comprehensive support for a smooth transition. “Thanks to Corsica, we didn’t experience any interruptions. We remained available for our clients, which is extremely important to us,” concludes McConnell.
