Hello, I'm Matthew Burkert, and I appreciate you visiting my website! Here's a bit about me: I grew up in Durham, North Carolina, where I attended Parkwood Elementary School and then Lowes Grove Middle School, followed by Jordan High School. After finishing high school, I enrolled at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where I majored in criminal justice and minored in psychology. If you’re ever in Greenville, I highly recommend trying B’s BBQ for their amazing barbecue. I later attended North Carolina Central University School of Law and earned my Juris Doctor in 2012. I passed the North Carolina Bar Exam in 2013 and was licensed to practice law on March 29, 2013. In 2010, I started as a law clerk at Constantinou Law Group, PA during my time in law school. I became an associate attorney there in 2013, and after a decade in that role, I purchased the firm and rebranded it to Constantinou & Burkert Accident Injury Lawyers in April 2023, where I now serve as managing partner. This milestone reflects not only my career advancement but also my dedication to the community I cherish. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors with my wife, Daisy, and our two children, Meelo and Della. I enjoy dining out and watching sports, including games featuring the Durham Bulls, ECU Pirates, and Duke Blue Devils. I also actively contribute to my community through volunteering and donations to local organizations.
