The primary goal of the project is to migrate and re-engineer the old electronic health records (EHR) system to a modern technology stack and architecture. The client had a long-established HIPAA-compliant EHR system developed using the MVC .NET 4.5 framework and Razor, which had been successfully managing patient medical histories for years. Initially, the client sought a service provider to maintain and support this system, which included fixing bugs, developing new features, and assisting with client inquiries. In the next phase, the organization opted to completely rewrite the legacy EHR solution using .NET 9 for the back-end and React 18 for the front-end. The Chudovo development team took responsibility for maintaining and supporting the old electronic health record software. The integration of the full-stack .NET development team was seamless, as the engineers quickly grasped the architecture, dependencies, and overall business logic of the project, thanks to their prior experience with similar systems. For over a year, the developers have been actively contributing to the project and achieving significant results. Subsequently, the client requested an upgrade and a complete rewrite of the legacy system utilizing a more modern technology stack. Chudovo commenced planning and preparing for the redevelopment of the old correctional EHR system.
