About the Team
OUR STORY
Cardsetter originated from a personal challenge faced by the founders with their local website, Billings365.com, which catered to events in Billings, MT. As mobile usage surged around 2016, the desktop-first design led to declining user engagement and ineffective ad placements. Seeking a mobile-focused, feed-like experience similar to larger publishers but without the high costs or limitations of existing platforms, the founders decided to build their own solution. A miscommunication inspired the innovative idea to group diverse content into horizontal scrolling "decks," allowing dynamic content display and improved monetization. This breakthrough evolved into Cardsetter, a user-friendly, cloud-based website builder and content management system tailored for content-rich sites, professional bloggers, and small publishers. Their startup journey continues with ongoing development and growth.
