Camelback Fundraising's roots trace back to founders Ron and Nancy Smith, who bring four decades of experience aiding conservative candidates in their fundraising efforts. Meeting in high school athletics in Phoenix, AZ, they both embraced the discipline of sports—Ron excelling as an All-State hurdler and quarterback, Nancy as a state champion sprinter and relay anchor. After pursuing separate paths, both graduated from Northern Arizona University with degrees in Journalism, Public Relations, Education, and Health Science. Their journey included managing a family advertising business and careers in marketing and communications, with Ron generating over $200 million in sales. Witnessing their country’s political shift, they became active advocates, ultimately founding Camelback Fundraising during the pandemic upon returning to Arizona, motivated by a
