Crops for Energy

Envirocrops.com is a comprehensive online application designed to support farmers, consultants, landowners, and researchers interested in biomass crops. It allows users to investigate and compare suitability scores for cultivating different biomass crops on various land parcels, while also providing insights into the potential profitability of these crops. Moreover, Envirocrops.com offers practical advice and best practice guidelines, equipping users with the essential knowledge and resources needed for engaging with biomass crops. This initiative is a collaboration among Crops for Energy, the National Farmers Union Energy (NFUE), and is spearheaded by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI), with digital support from Calvium. Its aim is to transform the biomass crops sector and promote the adoption of non-fossil fuel alternatives.

Open Bionics

Open Bionics has created the Hero Arm, a sophisticated prosthetic designed for both adults and children. They collaborated with Calvium to develop Sidekick, an application aimed at helping Hero Arm users easily adjust to and maximize the benefits of their new bionic arm. After three years of development, the Sidekick app includes a variety of features such as training videos, instructional guides, real-time monitoring, and personalization options.

Designed for accessibility and simplicity, the tool aims to increase user engagement, thereby minimizing paperwork and enhancing the effectiveness of FOD prevention efforts.
