Martin The Raven’s Nest (Raven) apartment complex is tailored to be an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly building that responds to its site, using straightforward shapes and strong materials. The project features 11 rental micro units along with resident amenities such as a community garden, shared storage, bike racks, and a charging station for electric or hybrid vehicles. A micro unit is a compact studio designed for maximum efficiency. The residences at Raven’s Nest consist of a small open living space that incorporates a kitchenette, bathroom, storage, and combined living/bed area. The units are designed to accommodate multifunctional furniture like “Murphy beds” that fold into the wall and can transform into a sofa or small table. Micro units typically vary in size from 23 m² to 37 m² (250 to 400 sq ft). The units at Raven’s Nest range from 25 m² (264 sq ft) and 25 m² (290 sq ft) for standard units to 30 m² (325 sq ft) for barrier-free options. The design includes various green features:

As planners and architects for the resort for more than 15 years, we have undertaken seven significant architectural projects during this period. Completed environmentally-focused designs encompass the Pinewoods Inn and Country Store, the 70-seat Grizzly Den Lounge, the Loon Lagoon Recreation Centre, the Nordic Ski Centre, the Manning Park Commercial Laundry, and a substantial renovation and addition to the Manning Park Lodge Hotel. Manning Park Resort has been praised for its commitment to responsible development and has been recognized by the Government of British Columbia as a “model” for future resort projects in Provincial Parks.

The environmentally designed green facility accommodates four separate age groups: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and after-school care. Involvement from the community, parents, and elders is a vital aspect of the program, fostering children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. The design of the daycare draws inspiration from the dreamcatcher, which symbolizes protection. In various Native American cultures, dreamcatchers are believed to be mythical tools that filter good dreams while trapping bad ones in their web to vanish with the morning light. Local children created the beautiful fish artworks that serve as wayfinding markers adorning the main hallway.
