Connected with us to better tell its story and distinguish its value proposition for winning bigger clients — primarily via a new website and suite of brand elements.
Before this project, Data Society had undergone seven website redesigns without achieving any return on investment. The launch of a new responsive website and rebranding helped establish the company as a leader in data science training. As a result, they received a significant request for second-round funding from a major investor who discovered the company through the new site. The new logo features a sleek wordmark that resembles a rocket with stacked text, symbolizing the brand's swift growth and progress. The colon in the logo represents the abstract orange flame propelling the rocket, serving as a new brand icon that is deeply rooted in industry history and significance. To fulfill the requirements of their target RFP, we concentrated on creating and enhancing a dedicated government section on the website, along with a range of thought leadership content highlighting Data Society’s achievements with previous government and healthcare clients. The RFP submission deadline required us to adapt our usual exploratory phases with the client into sprints.
Our approach included conducting competitive analysis and thorough discovery workshops to develop a new brand system, which featured a new logo, brand icon, and color schemes to drive the rebranding effort. We facilitated extensive messaging workshops to establish key messages for various site pages, posts, and case studies, providing ongoing content support. We collaborated with stakeholders to identify needs, create new information architecture, and develop user flows, culminating in mockups for both mobile and web platforms. Our brand launch strategy also encompassed design support for social media post templates and newsletter layouts.
