MindForge: Brand Activation

MindForge

MindForge is a SaaS startup focused on enhancing communication among construction firms. Research consistently shows that effective communication is crucial for minimizing serious injuries and fatalities in high-risk environments like construction sites. Their application offers a user-friendly communication channel and promotes ongoing, genuine communication across the company despite challenges like distance and language differences. MindForge approached us with the challenge of clearly conveying their value to potential clients. Initially, they believed that a website redesign was necessary, which was part of the solution, but they also faced a deeper issue — a lack of clarity on their target audience. While their app offers a comprehensive range of tools aimed at promoting safer job sites, trying to communicate all of these functionalities in their messaging was complicating their sales process. This made it difficult for customers to understand how MindForge's solutions integrated with their existing software systems. As with all our projects, we began with the Brand Magic Workshop, which provided clarity on what aspects were effective and what needed improvement. This set us on a productive path. Throughout our ongoing partnership with MindForge, we've assisted them in refining their messaging and branding, developing multiple websites, enhancing their sales materials, and supporting their marketing efforts. We have collaborated with them continuously, ensuring that as their software evolves and new features emerge, they can always articulate who they are and what they offer in a clear and straightforward manner.

LOUD Capital: Brand Activation

LOUD Capital

The LOUD team reached out to us regarding their outdated website. However, upon further investigation, we discovered that their challenges extended beyond just the website; they were also struggling with their brand positioning. As their team evolved over the years, they had not taken the time to clearly articulate their essence: what they represent, what sets them apart, and how they communicate their work. To truly address the issue, we needed to return to the fundamentals. We organized a series of workshops with the LOUD team to guide them through the brand strategy process. During these sessions, we explored their purpose, mission, and vision in depth. We defined their brand identity and core values, discussed their audience and the promises they can make to them, and ultimately crafted a unifying brand anthem: “We amplify value through purpose.” Once we established the verbal branding, we turned our attention to the visual aspect, specifically the logo and website. The original LOUD logo was based on a waveform typically seen on soundboards, which, while creative, was overly complicated and not effectively designed. In the new logo, we shifted the design to incorporate a sound wave intertwined with the "Startup Valley of Death" curve, a key concept in how LOUD collaborates with its portfolio companies. This new logo was complemented by a suite of brand assets, including an updated color palette, distinctive patterns, and original icons. Finally, we focused on redesigning the website. LOUD's updated site embodies their refreshed brand identity, showcasing their inherent curiosity and willingness to explore new opportunities while maintaining a sense of experience and relational engagement. The new website strikes a balance between being edgy and personable, ultimately telling the LOUD story in a way that resonates with their target audiences.

AdviceGuide: Brand Builder

AdviceGuide

When Tad initially contacted BLB, he primarily had a concept in mind: he wanted to assist other advisors in enhancing their client relations, but he wasn't sure what that entailed. We started with the Brand Magic Workshop, and during that process, he realized that structuring his offering as a workshop would be a great approach too. He cautiously asked if he could adapt some of the ideas from the Brand Magic Workshop for the financial industry, to which we enthusiastically responded, “Of course! Go for it!” We were truly flattered! With a service offering established, he needed to communicate it effectively. We guided him through our Logo & Brand System design process, leading to a sleek wordmark that subtly reflects the conversational nature of his business and a striking green/yellow gradient graphic style. The gradient proved so popular that we turned it into the foundation of his new website. The entire site features a dynamic gradient background, creating a unique atmosphere for the brand. Through our collaboration with Tad, we helped him refine his business idea, develop the necessary components for his launch, and get him started in record time.
