**Challenge:** The client encountered a significant challenge in optimizing computer vision models for battery-operated hardware that has limited memory and processing capabilities. For a model to be effective on such devices, its input size must remain under 100x100 pixels, the architecture should not be overly complex with many layers, and both inference speed and accuracy must be preserved to a reasonable extent. **Approach:** Two developers from Brainstorm Computer Vision and AI collaborated on the algorithm development for this project. Their responsibilities included assisting with model training and optimization, as well as analyzing and augmenting the dataset to enable the model to better handle edge cases. The experiments were executed in Python utilizing the TensorFlow framework on AWS EC2 instances that were overseen by the Ray cloud computing framework.
