SkinApe Web – Gamers Rewards Platform
SkinApe is a rewards app for gamers that provides in-game currency, CS2 skins, and gift cards. It is available on both Google Play and the App Store, and has been enhanced with SkinApe Web, transitioning the platform to a responsive web format. This shift reduces reliance on mobile store limitations while maintaining complete functionality. The objective was to create a modern web application that works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile. It is fully integrated with the existing Firebase backend and aligned with the data model and business logic of the mobile version.
**Challenge:** The primary aim was to develop a responsive web application that reflects the essential features of the mobile app, integrates effortlessly with Firebase, functions across various devices, and operates independently of the restrictions imposed by Google Play and the App Store. The key challenge was to transfer the entire mobile user experience to the web while ensuring functional consistency.
**Solution:** SkinApe Web was developed as a Single Page Application using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS. The backend remained intact, relying solely on the existing Firebase framework. Authentication options include Google, Facebook, Apple, Email (via Magic Link), and Guest login. Additional systems include Ghost CMS for the blog and Zendesk for support.
**Key Features include:**
- Landing Pages created from reusable components featuring Calls to Action (CTAs), Trustpilot reviews, QR codes, and promo codes.
- A Main Page with navigation, banners, goals, rewards, and referral logic.
- An Earn section with quests, providers, and progress tracking.
- A shop for CS2 skins and gift cards, complete with filters, dynamic pricing, and SEO-friendly popups.
- Code redemption and referral systems with bonuses and statistics.
- A profile dashboard containing integrations and history.
- A blog powered by Ghost CMS.
**Results:** SkinApe Web has made the platform accessible to new users without requiring app installation, delivered a responsive and consistent experience across platforms, ensured full backend compatibility, and allowed for quicker iterations due to its modular design. The optimized user experience, onboarding process, and content have led to increased engagement and improved conversion rates.
