Flutter Mobile App for Tours and Travel Company
In the rapidly evolving travel technology sector, first-time entrepreneur Luke Ellis came up with a distinctive idea: a self-guided audio tour app that effectively incorporates GPS technology to improve the user experience both online and offline. His vision was straightforward: an app that offered turn-by-turn directions, engaging narratives, and curated music, all automatically aligned with the user's route. However, Luke encountered a frequent hurdle faced by many startups: he had an innovative idea but lacked the technical know-how to bring it to life. The estimates for traditional development were beyond his budget, prompting him to look for a solution that would enable him to quickly validate his idea without sacrificing quality. His path took a pivotal shift when he learned about Bodhi Tech through a co-founder. Acknowledging the potential in Luke's vision, Bodhi Tech worked closely with him to transform "Take A Local" into reality. They started with a comprehensive examination of Luke’s ideas to ensure they were on the same page regarding goals and then formulated a strategy to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that would fit within the constraints of time and budget. Choosing Flutter for mobile development and Laravel for the backend, Bodhi Tech swiftly developed the MVP in just six months. To tackle connectivity issues, they incorporated Mapbox and Google Maps for real-time navigation, along with intelligent caching for smooth offline functionality. The app constantly adjusted GPS for precise location tracking, offering users a seamless exploration experience.
