If a potential client or customer is seeking products or services in a particular field, it's essential to be present; otherwise, the opportunity may go to a competitor. Our vision for the directory was to create a comprehensive resource where visitors could effortlessly locate businesses and access key information to make quick decisions about them, such as reviews, images, and operating hours. Once we established the concept, we set about implementing it. They faced two significant challenges: their website was not hosted on any content management system (CMS), making it difficult to update content quickly, which led to an outdated and poorly designed site. Additionally, as a membership organization, they lacked an automated method for tracking paid and unpaid members. The Strategy Blue Surge Marketing Agency utilized its extensive experience with local nonprofits to address Amistad's dual objectives. First, a complete redesign of their website was necessary. We selected a robust yet user-friendly CMS that could accommodate various feature requests and offered effective training and support. Utilizing best practices in web design and drawing inspiration from larger bar associations, we revamped the website. Once the redesign was successful, we tackled their membership tracking challenges by implementing WooCommerce Subscriptions, a powerful plugin that allowed members to automatically renew their annual memberships. This enabled members to create user accounts, manage their subscriptions, and renew early, among other features. Additionally, we incorporated site tracking to give the organization valuable data insights.
