Black Apple was founded in 2005 as a live event production company based in New York City. Initially, we focused on producing plays, stand-up comedy, theater festivals, promoting concerts, and live game shows. As we progressed, we began representing the talent we worked with, quickly establishing ourselves as one of the leading independent music agencies in the area. To effectively promote our shows and the artists we represented, we employed bold guerrilla marketing tactics and grassroots strategies, which introduced us to the realm of professional marketing. Upon expanding to Los Angeles, we shifted our focus solely to marketing and publicity. During this time, we represented various prominent figures in the entertainment industry, including Grammy-winning composers, Oscar-winning filmmakers, and celebrities. Around 2010, as social media began to gain momentum, we started experimenting with paid social marketing, which ultimately became our primary focus seven years later. We realized the goal of our advertising efforts was to generate a substantial list of leads and customers. This prompted us to consider the most effective way to grow that list, leading us to develop a formula that ultimately established us as the world's leading Email Marketing agency.
