iGovPortal

Our Lead Architect and Product Owner led the creation of iGovPortal.ch, an innovative initiative initially launched by the Cantons of Jura and Fribourg. Through collaboration with various cantons, we recognized emerging challenges, which inspired us to develop a multilingual, intercantonal platform. We successfully executed a proof of concept for a microservices-based architecture, resulting in wide adoption by other cantons such as Solothurn, St. Gallen, and Graubünden. Additionally, we performed a comprehensive architecture review and source code analysis in accordance with international software quality standards ISO 25010. We shared our findings, including insights on architecture, maintainability, rebuild value, and security, and developed a detailed plan for microservices. Furthermore, we built the platform on Azure, establishing the first milestone of a robust ecosystem that not only addresses the needs of the cantons but also ensures a smooth experience for portal users and onboarding of different suppliers. This renovation strategy has set a new benchmark for public digital services, reflecting our dedication to innovation and excellence. In this project, we also serve as advisors to the steering committee, user commission, and technical commission.
