**Client** The customer is a healthcare organization that provides digital solutions for advanced medical services to Medicare recipients. The company has developed an AWS-based platform that integrates various third-party products, facilitating communication between physicians and patients. They collect data from customer-worn tracking devices and offer support for both personal and virtual consultations with healthcare professionals to enhance primary care. Additionally, the client partners with government agencies and insurers to automate the reimbursement process for Medicare services for eligible beneficiaries. **Challenge** The customer experienced increasing demand for their product, necessitating enhanced software scalability. They faced challenges in data storage, processing, and exchange within the system. Another requirement was to automate the Medicare reimbursement processes integrated with the platform. Lastly, the client needed to improve interoperability by aligning APIs with the FHIR standard. **Result** Binariks assembled a dedicated team that included frontend and backend developers, a business analyst, a quality assurance specialist, an architect, and a designer. **Client** Our client provides in-home care services, including non-emergency medical transportation benefits, which anticipate the need for EHI exchange and integration with insurance companies and other third-party administrators (TPAs). Recently enacted government regulations regarding data exchange security have prompted many TPAs in the healthcare sector to prioritize interoperability in their solutions. **Challenge** Government-issued data regulations require healthcare providers and TPAs to comply with HIPAA, which mandates the adoption of FHIR as a standard for data exchange. Before collaborating with us, the company was individually connecting other TPAs by developing custom code for each integration. As the number of third-party integrations and users grew, the platform struggled to implement updates without encountering issues. This method significantly hindered and prolonged the process of creating new user profiles and notably reduced the speed and efficiency of data exchange. For example, some clients experienced delays of one to two days in finding out if their insurance covered the services provided by our client. Concurrently, our client faced financial losses due to these delayed data updates. **Results** Prior to the discovery phase, our client primarily sought to establish processes that would help achieve their business objectives while ensuring that existing workflows remained intact. Additionally, they aimed to minimize the time needed to integrate and share information with third-party organizations.
