This led to lost bookings, manual scheduling mistakes, and a lack of online presence, resulting in significant revenue losses, particularly at night when the owner was unavailable. The key obstacle was the creation of a real-time fleet availability system that would prevent double bookings while being easy enough for non-technical staff to operate. The platform also needed to be mobile-friendly since most tourists look for rental options on their phones once they arrive in Marrakech. Additionally, it required a confirmation process integrated with WhatsApp, as over 90% of clients prefer it as their main communication method. Bidayalab developed a comprehensive web platform using React for the frontend and Express.js with Node.js for the backend. The public site enables visitors to view the entire fleet with images, specifications, and daily rates. A real-time availability calendar, built with a custom REST API and PostgreSQL database, automatically prevents double bookings. The multi-step booking system collects information such as driver details, rental dates, pickup and drop-off locations, and optional extras like GPS or baby seats. After a booking is made, automated confirmation messages are dispatched via email and the WhatsApp API. A private admin dashboard provides the WakCars team with complete oversight of fleet management, the reservation calendar, availability updates, and revenue tracking, replacing their previous spreadsheet and WhatsApp thread system. **THE CHALLENGE:** Azarbi is a Moroccan artisan rug brand that offers handwoven Beni Ourain, Azilal, and Boujaad rugs to international buyers, primarily in Europe and North America. Prior to this project, the brand relied solely on Instagram and occasional craft markets for sales, lacking an e-commerce system. Each transaction involved laborious negotiations through direct messages, custom payment links, and handwritten invoices. International shipping was done on an ad hoc basis, limiting the brand's ability to grow beyond the owner's personal capacity. **OUR APPROACH:** Bidayalab developed a tailored e-commerce platform using Next.js (App Router) with a headless architecture. The product catalog was created with a Sanity CMS backend, empowering the Azarbi team to easily add new rugs, update prices, and manage inventory without needing technical skills. Each rug features a comprehensive product page with high-quality images, dimensions, material details, origin information, weaving techniques, and a full-sized room visualizer guide. We implemented a filtering system to help customers search by style, size, color, and price. The checkout process supports multi-currency display (EUR, USD, GBP) with real-time exchange rates, calculates international shipping costs based on destination and rug weight, and integrates Stripe for payment processing. Customers receive automatic email confirmations in their chosen currency. The website is fully optimized for mobile use, considering that more than 85% of Ilyass's audience finds him on Instagram via mobile devices. We prioritized page speed, achieving a load time of under 2 seconds through image optimization and a streamlined architecture.
