Evie Books & Billing Software

Unknown

**Overview** - **Client:** Evie Books - **Advisor:** Suyash Shrestha, CEO of Brass Asset Management - **Industry:** Accounting & Billing Evie Books offers a comprehensive accounting and billing solution that includes inventory management, tax synchronization, and reporting capabilities. The project was delivered to us in a fragmented and unstable condition following the departure of the previous team. Our objective was to stabilize, enhance, and develop the system into a solid financial platform. **Challenges** - An unstable codebase with malfunctioning billing and tax features - SQL query bottlenecks hindering dashboard performance - Outdated and incomplete reporting user interface - Subscription issues allowing lower-tier users to access premium features **Approach** We initiated a thorough audit of the codebase to understand dependencies and pinpoint areas requiring immediate attention. The system was reorganized to comply with accounting best practices. SQL queries were fine-tuned for better performance, and bugs related to billing and reporting were addressed. Additionally, we expanded functionalities, revamped inventory processes, and improved reporting features. **Key Deliverables** - Tax Department API Sync for automated compliance - Advanced Reporting including stock analysis, inventory categorization, customer and inventory aging, group summaries, and balance confirmations - Inventory Enhancements such as multi-warehouse support, transfers, secondary units, bulk imports, depreciation, and asset management - Billing & Orders features covering purchase and sales orders, lines of credit, check printing, and dispatch notes - Performance improvements through optimized SQL and stabilized workflows **Impact** We successfully transformed Evie Books into a dependable and scalable platform, eliminating critical bottlenecks and implementing enterprise-level reporting. Businesses can now rely on Evie for efficient inventory management, billing, and compliance solutions.

Evie Superadmin Dashboard

Unknown

**Overview** While Evie Books managed its accounting, it lacked a unified superadmin dashboard for overseeing subscriptions, analytics, and customers. The current Django panel was prone to bugs and unreliable. Our assignment was to design and develop a new superadmin dashboard from the ground up. **Challenges** The outdated Django panel had malfunctioning subscription logic, no centralized management for clients/packages, and offered limited insight into customer activity and revenue. **Approach** We developed a new, custom dashboard using NestJS and Next.js to replace the flawed system. We reengineered the subscription logic to prevent unauthorized access and track durations accurately. Additionally, we introduced analytics modules for real-time tracking of revenue, active clients, and site performance. **Key Deliverables** - Custom Package Management with adaptable tiers. - Corrected Subscription Logic: access restricted based on plans and renewal dates accurately tracked. - Real-Time Analytics: insights into revenue, performance monitoring, and customer usage. - Customer & Package List Management with role-based access. **Impact** The revamped Evie Superadmin Dashboard provided management with complete visibility and control over users, packages, and revenue. It transformed Evie into more than just software, establishing it as a scalable SaaS ecosystem with centralized governance, facilitating long-term growth and enhancing client satisfaction.
