Founded in October 2016 by professional artist Alexander Podgorny, Asterman is a vibrant digital production studio focused on game development, game art, ad production, and AR/VR solutions. Since 2017, the company has been delivering animation, illustrations, and AR/VR mobile games by bringing together a dedicated team of artists, programmers, and managers. Playable Ads & UA Creatives for Mobile Game

Challenge: The client required emotionally impactful, high-converting user acquisition videos that would surpass the performance of static ads and traditional creatives in terms of click-through and installation rates. Solution: Asterman created a series of captivating user acquisition video creatives for a mobile puzzle game, focused on enhancing user acquisition results across key advertising platforms. The videos were crafted to grab attention quickly, foster emotional connections within seconds, and encourage action. Our tasks included: Developing creative concepts and storyboards, designing 2D characters and backgrounds, adapting scenarios for narrative-driven gameplay videos, creating a UI/UX layout for clarity and immersion, optimizing animations and transitions for performance, and delivering formats tailored for Facebook Ads, TikTok, and Unity Ads.

3D Character Design & Modeling for Mobile Games

**Challenge:** Create clothing and accessories for the characters, which involves modeling, texturing, rigging, and creating levels of detail (LODs). **Solution:** The Asterman team began by developing a high-polygon model for sadbiv. Once the customer approved it, we proceeded with texturing, creating PBR textures and baked light textures (anlit) for these models. After finalizing the models and textures, we moved on to producing game LODs 2 and 3, consisting of 8000 and 2000 triangles, respectively. We then created a rig to ensure that the clothing would move correctly with the character's avatar. The final step involved preparing the archive for handover to the customer. **Result:** We delivered clothing models complete with textures to the customer, who has successfully utilized our high-polygon character model for promotional purposes and the LODs for the game.

VR Installation for NATO Summit

Client: The NATO Summit took place on July 11-12, 2023, in Vilnius, Lithuania's capital. Challenge: Present Lithuania's nature, architecture, and landmarks in a 360-degree VR experience using Unreal. Solution: The Asterman team contributed during the project's planning phase, outlining how the video should appear. Initially, experts focused on blocking out scenes to gauge the project's scale, before moving on to add more details. They arranged high-quality cassettes and made the necessary technical adjustments for each scene. Lighting and shaders were worked on next, followed by artists enhancing the scenes by incorporating elements like butterflies and crickets. The subsequent phase involved preliminary rendering and technical adjustments for the 360 view. Once all scenes were set up, our team submitted the project for rendering. The rendering was handled on the customer's end, while finer project adjustments were made on our side during this process. Result: We produced a VR project that showcased the natural beauty and landmarks of Lithuania. This augmented reality project was presented at the NATO Summit 2023 to familiarize delegates from other countries with Lithuania.
