Cross-Platform SBOM for Cybersecurity Product

Cybersecurity software provider

**SITUATION** As the need for automated dependency management grows, a global cybersecurity software company aimed to proactively address legal, regulatory, and customer expectations. Their product had to comply with stringent regulations, as it is used by enterprise clients and organizations in regulated sectors. Therefore, they tasked the Apriorit team with developing and implementing SBOM automation for their cybersecurity platform. **SOLUTION** The Apriorit team organized the SBOM implementation for the client and provided: Automated SBOM generation for all technology stacks, incorporated into the CI/CD pipeline for weekly builds; centralized tracking of vulnerabilities with automatic creation of Jira issues for newly identified CVEs; on-demand compliance reports and SBOM exports in formats required by enterprise clients; and a practical strategy for managing detected vulnerabilities based on the significance of the fixes. **IMPACT** The process that previously took days and was prone to errors is now completed automatically in just minutes. The client's team no longer needs to address dependency issues discovered only during the procurement phase. Potential vulnerabilities are now identified early and documented as Jira tickets, which are managed through the regular development workflow. With SBOM integration established, the client has enhanced compliance with legal and regulatory standards, such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act and DORA.

Integration Research with Reverse Engineering

US-based drone manufacturing company

Situation A company specializing in drones for automating visual and thermal inspections of critical infrastructure encountered difficulties in integrating their screen-mirroring feature with a widely-used closed proprietary platform among their customers. As the platform's developer did not supply device firmware, source code, or any documentation, the client sought a dependable approach for integration and reached out to Apriorit. Solution Following an initial examination of the target platform, the Apriorit team concluded that their reverse engineering experts needed to investigate the handshake mechanism with key exchange specifically used for screen mirroring. The insights gained would provide a foundation for the future development of custom features. During the firmware reverse engineering process, Apriorit found that the handshake protocol in the proprietary platform was intricate and contained many undocumented functions. The firmware utilized RTSP for screen mirroring, WebSockets for secure authentication, and QUIC to enhance streaming speed. Leveraging these discoveries, Apriorit developed a proof of concept (PoC) for a screen mirroring protocol that successfully executed a complete handshake with the target device. Impact With Apriorit’s prototype as a foundation, the drone manufacturer established a clear plan for developing their device's screen mirroring capabilities, ensuring reliable integration. This advancement not only increased their sales but also reinforced their standing in the market.

AI Support Chatbot for EV Charging Network

Integra Energy

**SITUATION** Integra Energy, a US company focused on electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, approached Apriorit to create an AI chatbot for customer support that could eventually be incorporated into their mobile app. The goal was to automate the handling of straightforward, repetitive inquiries using a secure knowledge base while adhering to strict data privacy and infrastructure standards. **SOLUTION** Our team developed an AI-driven customer support chatbot that the client's internal team could integrate into the mobile application via socket-based communication. The implemented features included: Integration with a private, customizable knowledge base, voice interaction capabilities through speech-to-text technology, and support for multiple languages. The system architecture was designed to be modular and scalable, enabling the client to adjust resources and enhance features as needed over time. **IMPACT** Integra Energy received a ready-to-use AI-enabled customer support chatbot with voice recognition, fully equipped for integration into their mobile application.
