ANCORD Design Co is a sustainable industrial design studio located in Victoria, BC. We collaborate with brands in outdoor, action sports, and durable consumer products throughout North America. Our focus is on creating designs that are ready for production rather than just concept art. Our expertise lies at the crossroads of industrial design, mechanical engineering, and sustainable product development. Each project begins with thorough research, and every design choice is assessed against manufacturing feasibility before being deemed ready for production. Our services include three engagement models: concentrated R&D Sprints (lasting 2–4 weeks), extended Development Projects, and Embedded Innovation Partnerships for continuous product development. We consider sustainability as an engineering requirement, not merely a marketing strategy, and we have achieved Green Leader status with BC Green Business and certification as a Water Friendly Business. Our impact is evident in significant achievements, such as preventing over 350,000 toothbrushes from entering landfills and developing patent-pending sustainable product systems. We are discerning in our project selection, focusing on initiatives that emphasize durability, performance, and sustainability, and we carefully assess the scope and compatibility before providing proposals.
