Our client has created an innovative mobile virtual cash register app tailored for the Polish market. Upon its release for distribution, it needed to comply with existing regulations regulating the operation of fiscal cash registers and achieve certification from the Central Office of Measures. Solwit’s team, comprised of ISTQB-certified testing engineers, performed functional testing of the app, which included over 35 comprehensive scenarios outlined in the Central Office of Measures documentation, as well as additional exploratory tests. After reviewing the COM documents, our team automated several tests to facilitate a continuous testing process as part of the app's ongoing development. Utilizing the Appium framework and Java, we were able to quickly develop further automated test scenarios. Once testing was completed, we informed the client of functional issues that required attention from their software developers. Our team collaborated with the client’s project team to automate tests for additional scenarios and to prepare the certification application. We also communicated with the Central Office of Measures on behalf of our client. The objective has been successfully met—the COM-certified Virtual Fiscal Cash Register Online is now available for download from the Google Play store for installation on compatible Android devices.

Analytics Tool for Online Cosmetics Store

Estyl.pl, an online store established in 2004, is among the first e-commerce sites in Poland and is rapidly growing in the cosmetics sector. It offers over 4,000 products from more than 90 brands and has fulfilled over 350,000 orders, earning the trust of tens of thousands of customers. Recognizing the need for advanced analytics tools to manage reports such as coverage margin and sales data, they sought to assess sales profitability. To do this, they gathered product price information from various sources, including online comparison platforms, manufacturer price lists, and their own databases. They required a tool to automatically aggregate this data in one location, enabling them to quickly establish their pricing strategy. Solwit proposed a solution utilizing Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery. A tailored demonstration was created, leading to the client's decision to proceed with the project. Consequently, a system was developed that automatically and periodically collects data from multiple external sources. A significant advantage of this solution is its unlimited capability for the types and number of data sources. Previously, gathering data manually by the client's team took several days, and generating reports could take hours. Now, clients access clear dashboards displaying structured data in Data Studio instantly, without utilizing the time of their analytics team.

Courier application for local hospital

The University Clinical Center in Gdansk

Our client, the University Clinical Center in Gdansk, is among the largest hospitals in Poland, boasting advanced diagnostic and clinical facilities. **THE CHALLENGE** The task was to develop a system to manage the delivery of parcels from the warehouse to hospital wards. The client required a warehousing application to effectively oversee the movement of medical component parcels from the internal warehouse to the wards. Several challenges affecting staff productivity were identified. Firstly, the delivery personnel were often unaware of the current location of parcels. Secondly, traditional shipment management posed a risk of parcels being lost or incorrectly sent to different branches. Lastly, all delivery documentation was handled on paper, making the processes of creating, signing, recording, and reporting excessively time-consuming. The client sought a solution that would expedite and streamline the parcel issuance process for recipients. **THE SOLUTION** We developed the e-Courier system, which includes both a mobile and web application. This app provides real-time access to parcel status information. The use of barcodes minimizes the risk of human error. Parcel tracking allows for accurate identification of when and where a parcel may have been lost, and pickups are confirmed using a personal identifier (LDAP). The warehouse and logistics management system facilitates the issuing and collection of parcels through barcode scanning. Additionally, the database stores orders and ward information, allowing for the collection of valuable statistics. The system is compatible with a barcode label printer. **THE EFFECT** The result is efficient management of the secure delivery process for medical components to hospital wards.
