Post Pilot Mail
PostPilot is a programmatic direct mail platform designed specifically for contemporary e-commerce brands (DTC). It enables companies to send customized physical postcards to customers as easily as sending an email. The platform connects digital marketing automation with physical media, claiming to counteract challenges like iOS updates, rising CPCs, and spam folders.
The ever-increasing costs and saturation of digital marketing channels (such as Facebook Ads and Email) make it essential for brands to find a new way to ensure visibility amidst privacy changes like iOS 14, which complicate ad tracking. The goal was to modernize "snail mail"—often seen as slow, unmeasurable, and cumbersome—transforming it into a fast, data-driven, and trackable option similar to digital campaigns.
We developed PostPilot to resonate with digital marketers, designing an interface and workflow that closely resemble email marketing platforms (like Klaviyo), which minimizes the learning curve. Our visual strategy involved a soft, inviting color palette (Mint Green, Peach, Lavender) to stand out from conventional corporate mail tools. The use of hand-drawn illustrations and doodle-style arrows adds a personal touch, emphasizing the individualized nature of postcards. To make onboarding seamless, we highlighted a "Done for You" service where professionals manage design and strategy, catering to users who are unsure about postcard design. We also incorporated data visualization, displaying key metrics like "ROI," "Conversion Rate," and "Sales Generated" prominently to demonstrate the channel's effectiveness.
As a result, PostPilot successfully redefined direct mail, transforming it from "junk mail" into a "secret weapon" for DTC brands. By featuring logos from trendy brands such as "Dr. Squatch," "Beardbrand," and "Promix," the design provides instant social proof. The emphasis on "Risk-Free" trials and "Guaranteed Results" alleviates concerns for skeptical digital marketers.
