Places to Sea Cruise Finder

Unknown

We made cruising more accessible to new audiences by simplifying the travel search process with an easy image swipe-voting system. THE ASK For those new to cruising, finding the right cruise can seem overwhelming. Users face extensive forms that require knowledge of industry terminology and preferences they may not have developed yet. Princess Cruises sought a method to make the cruise selection process “as simple as using Tinder.” THE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY The goal was to transfer the complexity of cruise searching from the user to the platform while still allowing users to feel in control and engaged with the outcomes. The innovative idea was to enable users to swipe-vote on a series of images, leading to personalized cruise recommendations. DELIVERY The Places to Sea cruise finder exceeded the client’s expectations by generating new leads and sales from younger cruising demographics. They were impressed by the seamless combination of an easy swipe-voting experience with cruise searching, providing an ideal introduction for newcomers to explore new destinations.

Reimagining A Design Tool

Unknown

We assisted an innovative printing company in reestablishing its presence in the market by completely revamping their online design service. THE CHALLENGE In the early 2000s, PsPrint offered a competitive online design tool that enabled non-designers to create professional-looking print products like business cards and posters. However, this market became crowded, leading users to turn to rival companies. PsPrint sought our support to revitalize their position by redesigning their entire platform and finding new ways to serve their customers. THE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY We began our collaboration by centering the team on the essential aspect of design innovation: the customers. We assisted the client in understanding their customers' needs, challenges, and identifying gaps that competitors were not addressing. Using these insights, we engaged in several design and research cycles to create a platform that ultimately resulted in a 76% boost in sales. RESULTS When PsPrint reintroduced their design platform, they experienced a 76% increase in sales, surpassing their expectations. We were thrilled to play a role in helping them regain their significance in a competitive market. Their ongoing success is supported by a product roadmap that effectively balances product management, engineering, and user experience.

Redesigning Blue Shield of California's Medicare Ecossytem

Unknown

We assisted Blue Shield of California in optimizing their Medicare digital ecosystem, which comprised four distinct websites, by creating a unified site experience that met user needs and reduced customer support expenses. THE REQUEST Blue Shield of California was providing services to their Medicare shoppers through four separate websites, targeting different audiences at various stages of their shopping experience. They aimed to simplify the user experience with a single website for easier management and to address the challenge of customer phone support, as users often found the existing website content confusing. THE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY We enjoy organizing websites and ecosystems that have become unwieldy due to their original designs. This allowed us to redesign the entire digital ecosystem for Blue Shield’s Medicare audience. DELIVERY We produced an intuitive, engaging web experience tailored for users aged 65 and older, enabling them to research, compare, and learn about Blue Shield of California’s Medicare supplemental plans.
