About the Team
OUR STORY
Founded in August 2020 by FAA-certified UAV pilot Derrick Frohne in Austin, Texas, AeroFrohne began by delivering precise aerial photography and marketing visuals across central Texas. Over time, the small family business evolved, integrating AI, LiDAR, 360° photogrammetry, and 3D geological scanning technologies to craft comprehensive turnkey solutions. By 2022, they honed expertise in orthomosaic mapping and volumetric analysis, expanding into rapid data processing for oil fields in Texas and New Mexico. In 2023, their offerings broadened to include utility asset inspection and environmental mapping, with innovative workflows producing immersive 3D models. A significant milestone came in 2025 with the first vehicle-mounted 360° mapping at Harbor Bridge 2.0, enhancing infrastructure capture capabilities and earning multiple government contracts serving Texas's public sectors.
