Our Story We are a team of learning and development experts located in Georgia, boasting over 25 years of collective experience in creating and implementing virtual and in-person training for nonprofits, educational institutions, government entities, small businesses, and corporations. 15-Minute Fridays

It's common for leaders to spend over 15 hours a week in meetings, and when you add their other responsibilities, project commitments, and administrative duties, they find very little time for professional development. Both leaders and individual contributors often express frustration over not having enough time to enhance their skills and capabilities. Ironically, they recognize the necessity of dedicating part of their work week to learning. To address this need, we launched "15-Minute Fridays." As the name suggests, these were brief, virtual learning sessions held every Friday. The organization’s Learning & Development team facilitated these sessions, and volunteer facilitators from different business areas helped out. Some were experienced presenters, while others took advantage of this chance to improve their public speaking and presentation skills. The facilitators chose their own topics, and we provided them with a PowerPoint template, constructive feedback, and technical support during the sessions. The communications team promoted the upcoming month's topics and presenters through the L&D electronic bulletin sent to all employees, allowing plenty of time for them to schedule attendance at the sessions that interested them. To increase engagement with the organization's Learning Management System, facilitators shared links to additional relevant resources at the end of each session.

The Covid pandemic introduced new working methods. Managers who previously oversaw in-office teams had to quickly adapt to managing remote teams. As companies emerged from the pandemic, many chose to maintain employees' work-from-home setups. This created a distinct set of challenges, as staff who were initially office-based had since moved, altered their lifestyles, or made decisions that resulted in greater geographic and time zone dispersal. Like many organizations across the country, our client saw the necessity for their leaders to acquire effective techniques for managing remote team members. We created "Leading from a Distance: 4 Principles to Building Committed Remote Teams," a 4-hour virtual instructor-led program designed for leaders with at least four direct reports working remotely. In this session, managers learn strategies to cultivate a healthy team culture, enhance effective communication, encourage productive collaboration, and foster meaningful connections within their remote teams to secure their members’ commitment. The session was divided into five segments that covered the following topics:
