Digitalization of WASH Field Operations Management
The Digitalization of WASH Field Operations Management and Services Performance Tracking project was initiated to enhance the management of service delivery for UNICEF and its partners in the Cox’s Bazar response for the Rohingya community. The involvement of over 23 implementing partners, combined with fragmented reporting, manual processes, and limited real-time visibility, resulted in significant operational and accountability issues. To tackle these challenges, 3DEVs IT Ltd. developed a comprehensive and scalable digital platform that combines web and mobile technologies. This solution streamlines partner reporting, field operations, facility monitoring, asset and inventory tracking, and beneficiary management via QR-based e-cards, along with real-time dashboards. A mobile app, functional in offline mode, allows field teams to gather and sync data in areas with poor connectivity. The platform features GIS mapping for monitoring infrastructure, API integrations with other systems, and secure, role-based access. Key components include beneficiary service management, facility tracking, field operations, complaint resolution, and data analytics. This digital framework boosts operational efficiency by minimizing manual tasks, enhances transparency with real-time tracking, and supports informed decision-making through data insights. It also standardizes reporting among partners, fosters better coordination, and improves monitoring of service quality and resource use. Ultimately, the project lays a strong foundation for accountable, efficient, and scalable WASH service management, facilitating quicker responses, improved data reliability, and more dependable service delivery in a complex humanitarian environment.
