We created a brand new ecommerce website for JAG, a company that merges precision engineering with a passion for carp fishing. It was crucial that their new site embodied their core values. During the initial onboarding process, we explored their business history, goals, product offerings, and future growth plans to gain insight into their ethos and values for both the present and the coming years.
A significant focus was on user experience (UX) and website navigation, given the extensive number of products and categories, which required careful planning to determine the best approach. We implemented a mega-menu that combines a straightforward top navigation with easy access to new products and bestsellers. This mega-menu is designed to be editable, allowing for adjustments based on different areas of emphasis. Additionally, we developed a separate mobile menu to create a tailored experience for mobile users.
Custom illustrations and graphics enhance the website's uniqueness and contribute to a cohesive branded shopping experience. This included animated logos, product sketches, custom badges that highlight what sets JAG apart, and an illustration for the About page, all complemented by loading animations and effects to invigorate the site.
Previously, JAG's online presence was divided between two domains, one for directly purchasable products and the other for those only available through stockists. We merged these functions into a single site. Since the launch, JAG's online presence has surged, seeing a remarkable 2000% increase in monthly sales, which has allowed us to shift all products to a 'buy direct' model on their website.
We also incorporated various marketing and functional integrations to streamline their daily operations, such as MailChimp for newsletter subscriptions, an Instagram live feed, invoice printing, and DPD Local for hassle-free shipping. Payment options include PayPal, Stripe, and Klarna, providing customers with flexibility and ensuring JAG's compliance with PCI standards.
