**BACKGROUND** Please provide an overview of your company and your role. I am a co-founder of Harlow, a software company created to assist freelancers in managing their daily tasks and receiving payments. **OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE** What projects or services led your company to engage XOOR Inc., and what objectives did you have? As non-technical founding members, we sought a partner to develop the first version of our product for market launch and customer feedback. We required a collaborator to assist with development, user experience & design, and quality assurance. **SOLUTION** How did you choose this vendor, and what factors influenced your decision? We discovered Xoor through a referral and, after interviewing several firms, we concluded that Xoor was the most suitable choice for us. They demonstrated a clear willingness to collaborate and offer insights throughout the process, rather than merely following specifications. Additionally, they had strong references, and their customers expressed great satisfaction working with them. Please describe the project's scope in detail, including steps, key deliverables, and technologies used. Xoor was with us throughout the entire process! We initially presented them with an outline of desired features and brand guidelines, but there was significant discovery and design work that needed to be done. We kicked off the project by exploring functionality and creating designs in Figma. Once we completed a section, we began developing it. After establishing the core functionalities, we launched a beta testing phase to gather feedback on usability and address any bugs. I particularly valued that during the beta period, the team was genuinely interested in user feedback and willing to modify aspects of the app accordingly. They acted more like a true partner than just a vendor. **How many team members from the vendor worked with you, and what were their roles?** The team composition evolved as we progressed through the project. There were some initial changes, but we eventually found a good dynamic with a technical lead, a project manager, and a designer. Once we finalized our designs and shifted to development, the designer transitioned to another project, and we brought in developers and QA personnel. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK** Can you share any measurable results from the project or general impressions of the deliverables? The product is on the verge of launching for the public and is on schedule according to our initial timeline. User feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the clean user interface and ease of use. **Describe their project management style, including tools used and efficiency.** We are quite pleased with the project management. Our project manager, Pilar, is exceptional. We hold two brief check-in meetings each week and primarily communicate via Slack. We have access to Jira for tracking tickets and development progress at our discretion. The team is very responsive, and the slight time difference (4 hours) is advantageous for us. **What impressed you most about this company?** As I mentioned earlier, the standout aspect of working with Xoor has been that it truly feels like a partnership rather than a vendor-client relationship. They genuinely care about the quality of their work and how users engage with the product. **Are there areas for improvement or things they could have handled differently?** There was some turnover within the team early on, and I would have preferred if they had been more proactive in communicating that with us. However, in the grand scheme, it did not cause any delays or significantly impact the project.
