Brella Childcare Mobile App and Web Admin System

Brella

We collaborated with Brella to create a groundbreaking mobile app for hourly child care bookings and secure pickups, designed to seamlessly integrate with their beautiful physical environment. Additionally, we developed a highly customized web-based administrative application for comprehensive management and oversight of the facilities. At the core is a proprietary system for availability and pricing, tailored to their innovative child care model. Our goal is to ensure that every digital interaction with Brella reflects the same level of thoughtfulness, care, and quality that founders Melanie Wolff and Darien Williams invest in every aspect of the Brella experience. We value our continuous collaboration and partnership.

Symptom Tracking and Health Data Export

MyHeartApp

Our collaboration with Christine Courtelis on MyHeartApp started in 2014. As an adult living with congenital heart disease, she sought a more efficient way to time and log her symptoms, enabling patients like herself to share better information with their healthcare providers. We created MyHeartApp to be inviting and personal, featuring vibrant symptom icons and an animated heart. In 2017, we partnered with Christine and Dr. Ari Cedars, a leading surgeon and researcher in adult congenital heart disease, to develop an updated version of the iOS and Android applications alongside Baylor Scott and White Health and the University of Texas. We enhanced the symptom tracker and introduced new data-collection tools that offer real-time data for valuable research on adult congenital heart disease. Additionally, the University of British Columbia is testing MyHeartApp for use in their research initiatives.

Community Portal and Member Management System

HeyMama

HeyMama is an exclusive networking and support platform tailored for professional mothers. Initially developed using various third-party tools, WLCM was brought on board to create a more efficient membership experience. We began by collaborating closely with HeyMama’s leadership team to establish a clear vision, focusing both on practical features and the desired user experience. Before proceeding with the development, we addressed the foundational technical infrastructure. This involved cleaning existing data and transferring it to a new, more secure database and server. Simultaneously, to maintain data integrity, we worked with the HeyMama team to identify the most important data points and then revamped the member application form accordingly. In the background, we implemented custom billing logic for subscription management, including options for free trials and discount codes, along with a tailored admin system for processing applications and managing member data. After establishing clean and secure data inputs, we developed initial features of the platform: allowing members to view and update their profiles and billing information, as well as search for and view other members' profiles. We then created the minimum lovable product (MLP) version of the HeyMama community forum, complete with community groups and a custom admin system. Our work is ongoing, and to validate our assumptions at each phase, we gathered strategic analytics data and collaborated with HeyMama to establish a representative user group known as the “Product Council” for continuous feedback.
