As the founders of Willow & Blake, we invested in the brand we were creating while simultaneously developing it. Recognizing the beauty industry's tendency for jargon, exaggeration, and imitation, we chose to take a different approach by being honest, straightforward, and authentic. Our goal was to be transparent. Through a distinctive user-generated content-focused social media strategy, a bold communication style, and targeted influencer partnerships, we successfully grew to over 780,000 Instagram followers, recorded 5.5 million Google searches, and sold nearly 10 million products across more than 144 countries. Today, we consistently produce copywriting, campaign ideas, and social and digital creative for our first and most playful client.

The DOM Brand Campaign 2024

The DOM

The DOM is the go-to place for high-end fashion that’s consistently discounted. Established in 2021 and supported by major retail players, The DOM approached us again to brainstorm and execute a striking brand campaign. We aimed for a clever concept that would stand out in the fashion industry while effectively conveying The DOM’s value. The tagline “We saved on models so you save on clothes” embodies The DOM’s goal of offering quality fashion at affordable prices, with a focus on setting the brand apart in the retail market. It’s not about eliminating models; it's about crafting a campaign that highlights fashion while emphasizing the discount angle. We collaborated with Einwick Studios to produce relatable and sophisticated scenes, opting for dynamic visuals over bland layouts to ensure the clothing stands out. The campaign unfolded as a national video effort, complemented by localized outdoor advertising in Sydney and Melbourne, activities at Westfield and Mirvac retail centers, as well as creatively developed social media content and influencer partnerships. The humor lies in the exaggeration—this choice reflects The DOM's commitment to providing great prices by cutting costs on models.

St. Louis Says

St. Louis Says approached us with a brand name and a range of standout haircare products, requesting the development of a highly marketable brand identity. In response, we crafted a concept we call hair heaven. Through strategic analysis of the market, we recognized that accessible haircare is highly competitive. To attract early adopters, we aimed to create a cohesive universe and community, while enhancing the existing premium packaging with a stylish and thoughtful artistic direction and an online presence. By adopting a playful tone combined with striking visuals, we built a distinctive and memorable brand environment—hair paradise. It’s a place where haircare is affordable, aesthetics are uncompromised, and salon-quality products are available at tempting prices. Our audience is in on the fun, with exaggerated references to paradise—beauty, nature, animals, flowers, water—along with a hyperbolic claim that a simple shampoo can transform their lives. With irony and cleverness, alongside a mysterious brand persona, St. Louis Says is designed to stand out in a crowded market and resonate with the digital generation. From using the angel emoji to creating a unique unboxing experience, we established a comprehensive brand universe. And the golden gates are wide open.
