WeKode

WeKode is a technical engineering and software development company based in South Africa, focused on creating high-performance, scalable, and self-sovereign digital infrastructure. Originating from a passion for technical accuracy and a commitment to open-source quality, WeKode goes beyond conventional web design to delve into advanced software engineering and intricate system architecture. **Core Philosophy** At the core of WeKode is the conviction that businesses should have ownership over their data and tools. We aim to move away from restrictive and costly SaaS platforms by using self-hosted, open-source (OSS) infrastructure. By utilizing dedicated VPS environments and contemporary orchestration tools, we empower our clients with enterprise-level features—ranging from custom mail servers to internal CRM systems—without incurring ongoing "vendor tax." **Technical Stack** Our development employs a cutting-edge technology stack optimized for speed, security, and developer productivity. Our main tools include: - **Frontend & Logic:** Next.js for high-performance React applications, styled with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui for modular and accessible interfaces. - **Backend & Database:** Utilizing Appwrite and Convex for real-time data synchronization and secure authentication. - **Automation:** Managing complex workflows through n8n, integrating various systems into smooth, automated pipelines. - **Infrastructure:** Deployments via Dokploy on high-performance Hetzner VPS environments, ensuring complete control over the hosting lifecycle.
