WebServes

WebServes (WS) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit technology services organization that helps nonprofits (NPOs/NGOs), small businesses, startups, and others maximize their Internet (web and mobile) benefits by providing tailored, flexible, and cost-effective design, development, and support services. The organization is grounded in key principles, which include: doing good and doing it effectively, prioritizing innovation and excellence, actively listening to people, and fostering collaboration. The vulnerability of the support system for local, community, and smaller nonprofit organizations became clear shortly after the events of 9/11 in the New York and Tri-State area, highlighting an existing national trend of underfunding the technology necessary for these groups to carry out crucial programmatic work. While various programs often qualified for funding from private and corporate foundations, the technologies that powered and implemented those initiatives were rarely supported financially. This has created a technology gap distinguishing for-profit enterprises from nonprofit ones. WebServes aims to bridge this gap by providing affordable technological access to these under-resourced organizations.
