Credentialing involves healthcare organizations verifying the qualifications of potential medical staff. A major hurdle in this process is the vast amount of information required. Health practitioners and administrators must adhere to numerous regulations related to medical specialties, practice locations, and facility types. In the U.S., medical credentialing is costly and inefficient due to outdated tools. The legal implications are serious, as improper processing of files can lead to facility closures. Much of the frustration stems from the time and resources spent on tasks that could be automated. The founders of Eddy aimed to create a platform that automates the healthcare credentialing process. The end result is Eddy, a credentialing management platform for healthcare providers that streamlines credentialing and enrollment workflows. This platform simplifies the tracking of necessary certifications, making it both cost-effective and hassle-free. Our team converted identified challenges into product features and, through an agile approach, developed a comprehensive system that addresses all facets of credentialing, including determining required documents, managing extensive paperwork, and ensuring document accuracy.

Modernizing Core Banking System

Cooperativa De Ahorro Y Credito Pilahuin Tio Ltda is a credit union located in Ecuador that collaborated with WebcentriQ to upgrade its core banking system, as the previous platform was unable to accommodate new business processes. The challenge faced was that modernizing the core banking system is essential to stay competitive in a rapidly changing market. However, the transformation carries significant operational risks due to its complexity and the potential impact on daily operations. Core banking systems are backend systems that manage banking transactions across different branches, including processing deposits, loans, and credit. These systems are vital for the bank’s IT framework. Therefore, the credit union's founders recognized the urgent need for core system upgrades to improve the convenience of banking for both current and prospective customers. As for the project outcomes, our team gradually revamped the existing core banking system. We undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the infrastructure, market trends, customer demands, and organizational strengths to enhance back-office productivity. The upgraded core banking system now efficiently processes a high volume of transactions without outages. Improvements in architecture and functionality have allowed the financial institution to significantly cut operational costs while meeting the increasing expectations of customers. As a result, transactions are now safer, quicker, and more streamlined.

AngeLink

Gerry Poirier envisioned creating the world's first crowdfunding community specifically designed to empower women globally. She established the AngeLink Community Foundation with the aim of promoting gender equality, inclusion, and justice. This community serves as a powerful network where women can feel secure and supported. Challenge: Women face economic disparities, ranging from significant gender pay gaps to a lack of representation in leadership roles. Many women worldwide struggle to meet basic needs. Poirier believes that no one should have to choose between providing for their children and paying for housing. To address this, she sought to develop a platform offering financial assistance for essential needs. Gerry Poirier aimed to support women by providing grants and distributing funds to other charitable organizations. Project results: AngeLink is a free fundraising platform that can efficiently accommodate a large number of simultaneous users without sacrificing performance. Scaling up was one of our primary architectural goals, and we established guiding principles for our engineering team. With each iteration, we improved the platform, prioritizing performance metrics such as concurrency, throughput, and requests per second. AngeLink was created by a team of women designers, developers, and FinTech specialists, and it provides access to funding programs, events, and grants that enhance the lives of billions.
