We Discover was contacted by Smart Token Labs (STL) to develop a new parent brand for their existing product, which includes a white-label wallet application and NFT technologies. Before their upcoming investment round, our task was to convey the essence of this new brand and its purpose, followed by visually representing their identity across various websites, demos, and content. The process began with a branding workshop at We Discover, focusing on how they stand out in the market. This helped STL clarify their market position and align their brand with their value proposition. Using this unified vision, we created a new brand positioning, logo system, style guide, website, merchandise, presentation deck, and various creative assets for the core brand. This comprehensive strategy provided a framework for implementing the new look and feel across a range of product websites, demos, ongoing social media content, and event materials. STL's new brand assets have now been launched across multiple channels, resulting in a refreshed and cohesive brand message, identity, and product direction that has garnered significant attention for positive reasons. Notably, STL successfully attracted additional investments from venture capital and token sales, while also gaining recognition in the NFT space for their open-source products and vision.

HappyCo - UX Research & Design Thinking

HappyCo engaged us to perform UX research aimed at creating a series of concept designs for their customer experience roadmap. This roadmap will serve as the guiding "North Star" and vision for product experience over the next 3-5 years. Our research will help the team define user archetypes, allowing HappyCo to strategically enhance their product offerings. We utilized various UX research methods, starting with interviews with key stakeholders at HappyCo. Participants provided their insights regarding a wide range of end users, which enabled us to formulate user archetypes. We validated these assumptions through user interviews, identifying significant pain points and opportunities, which informed the concept creation phase. The results from this phase contribute to what will be known as the “Product Experience Vision”—an internal document envisioning the product's potential in the next 3-5 years. We created archetype cards as artifacts to represent each user archetype visually, facilitating better understanding and communication of user needs among HappyCo employees. Additionally, we developed "experience principles" based on our research findings to serve as a foundation for the experience roadmap. Using Figma, we presented each concept as designs for both desktop and mobile platforms. These principles will guide future product design decisions and support concept development. Our findings are aiding HappyCo's product team in their design choices while providing the entire organization with a more profound insight into their end users. The HappyCo team expressed their excitement over the research outcomes, which will help ensure a strong direction for their product in the future.

Secure Code Warrior - UX Research

We were hired to assist Secure Code Warrior in scaling their product, Sensei, by performing UX research to gain a deeper understanding of their users' motivations, behaviors, and challenges with the Sensei plugin. Our goal was to identify what aspects were effective and which were not. We categorized Sensei's user base into distinct archetypes based on the product team’s initial assumptions, which facilitated interview recruitment. We conducted thorough interviews with both current and potential Sensei users to gather insights on user characteristics, behaviors, and issues with the existing experience. This revealed various barriers to adoption, as well as the significance of specific features and functionalities. Our findings validated the team's assumptions with concrete user insights. This process allowed us to refine the user archetypes into specific segments and identify key users who actively advocated for Sensei within their organizations. From these insights, we developed several "How Might We" statements and conducted an ideation workshop to generate ideas for enhancing the current product. We presented our research findings, including the archetypes, insights, and recommendations, to the product team. The ideas formulated from the workshop have shaped the next iteration of Sensei, providing the team with assurance regarding the product roadmap and future investment choices.
